Salvation Sunday: Real Beauty.

Unfortunately most people today don't see themselves as a beautiful person. We are always ready to find something wrong with ourselves, whether it be our hair, nose, teeth, or eyebrows. We try and cover our "imperfections" with make-up, trying to hide ourselves from the world; afraid to be seen as ugly or unwanted. But all of this is just how we see ourselves, what about how others see us?

After watching the video above I realized that the people around us see someone very different than we do when we look in the mirror. Beauty is something that is shown through our actions, if we act lovingly with kindness and care, we will be beautiful to those around us. However if we act in anger, hate and selfishness, we become ugly to all who see us. The old saying, It's what's on the inside that counts, is actually one of the most true things ever uttered  by man. We also shouldn't just work on our beauty, but helping others find their true beauty. Try this week to complement people on both their outer and inner beauty. It may be something small, like their smile, but telling them that they look beautiful could turn their day completely around.
